(20.02) - Budapest, Hungary

I cannot explain why I am here, but here I am.

(8.02) - Oxford, England

Met today with some editors at Chemical Senses about an article I'm working on for the journal. Tomorrow, I'll be guest speaker on industrial approaches related to the sense of smell for a chemoreception course. Looking forward to getting back in front of a class!

(28.55) - Weston-super-mare, England

We creamed Weston-super-mare yesterday! Campbell was in prime form. My brother won't hear the end of this - his team are a bunch of wussies.

Spent the entire day sailing with James and am getting home quite late. The family had a blast - and the cousins of course always enjoy seeing each other. Nice to spend quality time with the family between trips.

Heading up to London tomorrow for a few days to find out more about this missing bottle of Covet. Americans are so insufferable sometimes. Better than Hungarians, at least.

(22.55) - Bath, England

Meeting an old college friend over by Moorland Road this evening. The weather is a cool 18 - very refreshing after the French coast.

(21.55) - Bath, England

Made it home late last night. Got tickets for the family to see the fixture against Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday this coming week end. Looking forward.

(20.55) – Nice, France

That blasted Hungarian got me drunk last night! In one moment we were raising toasts, laughing about our history, and speculating about the EU: it felt like the old days. In the next moment, though, he was asking me for all kinds of confidential information. He'll not get any more secrets out of me!

Still, just to mitigate any risks about some things I may have mentioned in my revelry, I decided to stop here in Nice to touch base with the regional Matron. Without this group, K. should be powerless. But, it's better safe than sorry - he's already accomplished so much more since our falling out than I would have thought possible.

The Matron is on her way down to Grasse immediately to follow K. for the remainder of the weekend. There are several representatives from high end production firms - if we catch him meeting with them, I'll have to make a few phone calls and possibly cash in a few favors next week.

Catching a flight back to England in an hour.

(18.55) - Grasse, France

The last day for meetings before the festivities begin. Seeing B.K. today. Promises to be a tenuous experience.

Got a call from home first thing this morning - another minor emergency has come up. I'll have to leave the FĂȘte early on Saturday to go help.
